• What is Acnecide Wash 5% w/w Gel used for?

Acnecide Wash 5% w/w Gel is a wash-off treatment for mild to moderate acne. It contains 5% benzoyl peroxide, which helps kill acne-causing bacteria, unblock pores, and reduce excess oil, helping to improve blackheads, whiteheads and inflamed spots on the face, chest and back.

  • How do I use Acnecide Wash?

Wet the affected area, apply the gel to your hands and gently massage it onto the skin. Leave it in contact with the skin for 1–2 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with water and patting the skin dry. Use once or twice daily, or as directed by your pharmacist or doctor

  • How long does it take to see results?

Many people notice an improvement after 2 to 4 weeks of consistent use. For best results, continue using the product regularly as directed, as it may take several weeks for acne to improve fully.

  • Can I use Acnecide Wash every day?

Yes. Most people can use it once or twice daily. If you have sensitive skin or are using benzoyl peroxide for the first time, start with one application every other day and gradually increase the frequency if your skin tolerates it well.

  • Can Acnecide Wash bleach clothing or towels?

Yes. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach fabrics, bedding, towels and hair. Rinse the product off thoroughly, wash your hands after use, and take care to avoid contact with coloured fabrics.

  • Can I use moisturiser after Acnecide Wash?

Yes. Applying a fragrance-free, non-comedogenic moisturiser after washing can help reduce dryness and keep your skin hydrated while using benzoyl peroxide treatments.

  • Is Acnecide Wash suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Acnecide Wash to ensure it is appropriate for you.
